thinking out loud

…things that are on my mind, heart, and soul

Sunday’s Worship Set

Today’s worship set at Christ Community Church of the South Hills included:

“Bless Your Name” by Eddie Kirkland (taken from the Northpoint’s Awake CD)

“Faithful Over Us” by Casey Darnell (Untitled EP)

“Salvation is Here” (Kristin Standfill’s version)

“My God Reigns” by Matt Hooper and Jock James (Taken from ALM:UK’s “Name Above Names” Project). If you are not familiar with this song I would highly recommend it as a powerful statement of God’s sovereignty, faithfulness and reign over every dimension of our lives. You can check out an acoustic version of the song on YouTube.

We also used a reading from Colossians 1 (The Message version) in-between “Salvation is Here” and “My God Reigns” and closed the set by praying together the Lord’s Prayer.

I’d love to learn what songs your community of faith used to worship our great God.

Stay connected…

have the peace that passes understanding at the heart of yourself, but do not be at peace with the world. for the world is more malleable than we think and we must wrestle it from fools. (bono)
